Me, Myself and I
In 2008, I started studying industrial design at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology and am about to finish my Bachelor degree. Besides keeping myself busy with my education I am a member of a student run organization named BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) and am a board member of the universities floorball club, Blue Falcons. The projects you find in this website are all projects I did for my bachelor, with exception to the color and emotion one which I did for pleasure on the side.
Through my father's love for sports I have been able to find the same love for floorball, although it has been a long road in finding it.
My name is Paul van Eeghen and was born in 1987 in Kingston, Canada. I have had the pleasure to live in three different continents in my life and visit another one during my gap year. Having lived in the Netherlands for the last 16 years of my life but also lived elsewhere I have come to realize that you only start to miss things when they are not in hand reach.
I have my parents to thank not only for blessing me with life and helping me achieve what I have but also giving me two super sweet sisters, whom I adore ever so more; and an awesome brother who has inspired me to do things I would not have done otherwise.
The joy I get from an adrenaline rush has gotten me in endless amounts of trouble - to say the least - but also gifted me with priceless experiences of free-falling, although bunjee jumping was my all time favorite and would do it again if the chance arose.
Having had the pleasure of visiting Finland during the summer since my early youth and these being my earliest memories, it has become a place I will take with me to my grave.
Through my father's stubborness I have had the pleasure of being challenged many times only to succeed a handful of times, but when I do the victory tastes even sweeter; and my mother's artistic side and organic designs has opened my eyes and challenged my engineering background.
